1. Hey folks, this was actually a really fun gadget! For more gadget reviews remember there are 2 playlists for kitchen gadgets:
    Individual gadget testing playlist
    Grouped gadget playlist

  2. My grandma had one when i was younger and she gave it to us when she moved and we haven't used it for years bc we ran out of cones and i kinda missed it now watching this.

  3. Wesley two scoops! He was called two scoops because his mum would always say “just two more scoops” when he couldn’t finish his tea!
    I remember!

  4. Loved this video. As someone who used the commercial one, and was pricked by dry candy floss crystals. Your vids are so natural that I end up chatting with you as you're chatting. Love the glasses…. xxx

  5. hmm, i thought people making candy floss first dipped the wooden stick in water and then in sugar granules (or just water?) before they started to get the floss to stay on the stick… but i can't see it mentioned anywhere in any instructions online so maybe i just dreamt it

  6. The cones may help with stability… Also, when making rock candy, they say to coat the skewer in sugar so the other sugars can latch onto it when the rocks are forming. Maybe you have to do a similar thing with cotton candy? If so, let me know. I'm trying to do a fundraiser with the stuff one day.

  7. Why are you even playing with the spinner thing when you have no idea if it will fly off or not?? Read the damn instructions dude!!

  8. The only Two Scoops I know of is named Donny. And the only person who cares about his handle is named Crazy Acosta.

  9. Ads before and after the video are fine. Even unskippable are acceptable, but two unskippable ads mid video is a bit of a turn off. Loved the video otherwise.

  10. Fun! But it was killing me watching you deal with the skewer. There was no avoiding it slipping off using that. This is exactly why they use the paper cones. Try it again with cones. I bet you can buy them on Amazon or make them.

  11. I only disliked because the number was 124 and I don't like that number so I made it 125 but anyway great video I might try that giant crunchy you guys did 🙂 but with a twist

  12. Barry! I think you're supposed to rub the bamboo skewer with a very small amount of water first, so the candy sticks to the stick!

  13. I have one of these, and you can use hard candies in it as well. I recommend werthers caramel coffee, or root beer barrels.

  14. When you mentioned that there are other products that name their flavours like the sugars you got I could only think of crayons and vodka… But you said it like it was nsfw… So… Flavoured condoms I guess?

  15. I had something like this as a kid, except it had an actual heating element that would get red hot. I played with it all the time. Hence why it was absolutely hilarious to watch him jump like a baby and need "safety" glasses.

  16. I'd heard about this channel loads from Ashens and such but I never actually sat down and watched through the videos, and I regret that now. Throughly entertaining and enjoyable content, can't wait for more 😀

  17. love the video and btw E129 is actually coloring, sad that they are using this kind of coloring just to make it more attractive and some (actually pretty many) sellers add it to meat as well.

  18. I read you can grind up sugar free boiled sweets in a coffee grinder and use that instead of sugar, you should totally try it! 😀

  19. barry the new intro is fantastic but your real hair color is brown
the barry in the intro has blonde hair why

  20. Good tip for you Barry, you can use boiled sweets (foxes glacier mints, cola cubes candy canes etc) in these just crush them up and add them in like you would add the sugar. THE best one to use though is Werther's originals. I promise you, once you have used Werther's in it you will be hooked!

  21. E129 is not sugar, Its artificial colour.

Allura Red AC was at one time banned in Denmark, Belgium, France, and Switzerland, and was also banned in Sweden until the country joined the European Union in 1994 In Norway, and Iceland, it was banned between 1978 and 2001, a period in which azo dyes were only legally used in alcoholic beverages and some fish products.

  22. I know I’m late but if he ever sees this comment I’m letting him know that you can put hard candy in there and it will melt into cotton candy or candy floss as he calls it.

  23. You're supposed to wet the sticks before putting the candy floss on there…the water helps it stick to the stick

  24. I was laying in bed watching this and laughing so much my husband asked if I was ok. I had headphones on so he had no idea what I was watching

  25. I want one of these! I just don’t want to pay so much for it. Because I think I will use it once or twice, even if you want to have fun.

  26. Can also use hard candies…we use sugar free hard candies. 2 pieces. Let warm up for 10-15 minutes. Stop and add sugar or candy. Do not have to crush the hard candies

  28. what about if you soak the stick in water for a bit? wouldn't the candy floss then stick to the stick???? also try nesquick powder and crusher liquid… i used to have one of these years ago and used them to

  29. This was so terrible lol hard to watch for anyone who’s ever seen one of these machines being used lol
