Hello, it has been a long time since the last
song. We said that everyone can code. And once you start coding, it’s important
to know that computer follow steps
one line at a time Computers follow steps, One line at a time
Computers follow steps, One line at a time Computers follow steps, One line at a time
One line at a time, One line one line.. Computers are incredible inventions
Yet they can’t do anything without directions When you write code don’t forget to mention
Your program is a collection of directions Computers say Let’s Do This! But they need a to do list
Otherwise they’re clueless, They don’t like useless
Look at examples, This how we do it Looking at old code, New flow, who dis? Hello World, goes one line at a time
Blinking Lights, One line at a time AFK Arena, One line at a time
Like every program, One line at time So you’re probably wondering
Why doesn’t this code look like code? Well it’s because it’s pseudocode
I’ll explain that more as these rhymes continue But you can expect to see pseudocode in most
of the ABC tracks Yea! that’s Pseudocode, Writing code just
like you Pseak Early Computer Science technique, I be sketching
goals Using Pseudocode, Because it let’s me code
Without writing code When it’s ready to go, It goes from Pseudocode
To programming Language, then 1s and 0s My code is the recipe, Kitchen the IDE
Compile in the oven, We got ourselves a feast Back the ABCs, its time to get subliminal
Humans like computers need instructionals We follow steps
One line at a time Brush your teeth, one tooth at a time
Shop for treats, one item at time Build machines, one line at a time
Computers follow steps, One line at a time People kinda follow steps, One line at a time
Computers follow steps, One line at a time People kinda follow steps

In the next video we’ll explore these topics a little more
Then after that I rap about variables Don’t forget to like comment and subscribe
And most importantly don’t forget your ABCs Always Be Coding

  1. I wish someone had told me about pseudocoding in grad school! It seems like it should be so obvious and yet I just didn’t know I could do that? I thought I just had to launch into writing the script. Mind blown.
